The one thing I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older – especially with shoes – you get what you pay for.
I’ve learned that cheap shoes do you no favours when you’re travelling – they’re more apt to give you blisters, cause sore feet and legs and don’t last.
Teva is a shoe brand that knows how to create a tough, durable shoe – but now also focuses on how to match those two qualities with stylish.
The Himalayan Goddess collection has a fashion forward Gladiator influence, but is also made with soft woven webbing straps, anti-microbial suede-line straps and topsole as well as a contoured insole. The rubber outsole is durable, non-marking and offers traction.
My favourite is the Anna sandal – with a bit of granola earthy feel, but stylish enough to not necessitate the need for flowing garments, beads and flowers in the hair if you’re more of an urbanite than Woodstock refugee.
